Distance
Local moves within Maine are typically priced by the hour. Long-distance moves — crossing state lines or traveling 100+ miles — are usually priced by weight or a flat rate based on distance and home size. The further you go, the more fuel, time, and logistics are involved.
Home Size
A studio apartment takes a fraction of the time and truck space of a 4-bedroom house. When you request a quote, we'll ask about your home size and the number of rooms so we can give you an accurate estimate.
Time of Year
Summer (June–August) is peak moving season in Maine. Demand is high, availability is limited, and prices reflect that. If you have flexibility, moving in the fall, winter, or early spring can save you money — and you'll have more scheduling options.
Day of the Week
Weekend moves are the most in-demand. Mid-week moves (Tuesday–Thursday) are often more affordable and easier to schedule. If your timeline allows it, a weekday move is worth considering.
Access & Logistics

Special Items
Pianos, gun safes, large appliances, antiques, and oversized furniture require extra care, equipment, or crew members. Let us know about anything unusual when you request your quote so we can plan accordingly.
